One of the reasons I love NYC is the abundance of world class galleries and museums. Any time I visit I do a round trip (sometimes in 1 day if I have to) and get a big dose of inspiration.
Here's a wrap up of my must do Museums to hit up and the best time (Free/Donation) to go:
Moma - Free Friday's 4-8pm (http://www.moma.org/)
There's always an exciting and varied featured exhibit. A few months ago there was a Bjork retrospective and Picasso's sculptures are on currently. Food at the cafe is top notch and a nice spot to digest the awesomeness just witnessed.
Guggenheim - Free Saturday's 5:45 - 7:45pm (http://www.guggenheim.org/)
Kandinsky exhibition is on point and open through to Spring 2016. Of course the building itself designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is iconic and awe-inspiring to take in with stunning Central park as your backdrop.
Met - By Donation (http://www.metmuseum.org/)
Incredible museum to get the inspiration that inspires the creatives. Extensive catalogue...and I mean extensive. I was there for the better part of a day and only scratched the surface. Everything from Ancient Egypt to Modern Masters.
